Rover who joined the Demons in 1974 but broke an arm in his first practice match and missed eight weeks. He returned through the Reserves, and debuted in Round 5, 1975. Sparks was one of the lightest players in the league, weighing 66kg in 1975. The rover was out of the game for eight weeks and didn't make his senior debut until the next year.
Cleared to Sandringham in May 1978.
