Former University cricketer and practicing doctor who was recruited by Richmond after spending 1939 and 1940 with University Blacks. The Tigers swapped him to the Demons without playing a game and got Bill Morris in return.
Morris went on to win the 1948 Brownlow Medal, while Galbraith was forced to retire after just four games when he suffered a broken kneecap. He joined the Navy and served at Flinders Naval Depot in 1945.
Galbraith was Melbourne's Honorary Medical Officer/Club Doctor from 1965 to 1969. His grandfather Jim played for Geelong in the 1880s.
