Speedy winger who played 11 games in his first two seasons, and was twice selected for VFL representative teams.

Anthony was cleared to Seymour before the 1925 VFL season before reappearing with St Kilda for two games in 1926. Cleared to Prahran in June 1928 and played there for two years.

During World War I he served in the Army and RAAF, and served on the recruiting committee of Sandringham in 1941.
