Best on ground in Werribee's 2024 VFL Grand Final victory, Henderson was signed by Melbourne as a replacement player when Shane McAdam suffered a season-ending injury. Henderson had been on-trial with West Coast, playing in their first pre-season game before being signed by Melbourne. He didn't play in either of the 2025 practice games before being selected to debut in Round 1, where he goalled with his first kick in league football. Henderson played the first five games of 2025, then couldn't break into the side again.
Henderson remained on the list in 2026 but didn't play another senior game and was delisted at the end of the year.
