Athletic midfielder/forward taken with Melbourne's top pick in the 2025 Rookie Draft. He had first played seniors in Shepparton at 16-years-old. Onley played for the Vic Country Under 16 side in 2023, and their Under 19 side in 2024 and 2025. Onley also trained with Collingwood VFL side in the 2025 pre-season, and only played two games for the Murray Bushrangers in 2025 but appeared in school football with Scotch College. Melbourne drafted him based on his rare combination of size, speed, and athleticism.
