DOB: 3 April 1995
From: East Sandringham/Brighton Grammar/Sandringham Dragons, Selection #57, 2013 National Draft
Number: 29 (2016-)
Games: 94* (to end 2021)
Midfielder/half-back picked straight from school football with Melbourne's last pick in the 2013 Draft after starring in an representative game.
Also wore number 29 in his first season, the same number worn by his uncle Andrew Moir. He failed to play a senior match, appearing in seven games for Casey Demons before his season ended with a back injury. He debuted in early 2016, quickly finding a permanent spot for his dashing runs from half-back.
Hunt became a regular in 2017, playing every game, before a disappointing 2018 season. Injury and form issues restrict him to six games, and only one after Round 7. In 2019 he was converted into a forward, having immediate success with three goals against Essendon in Round 3, and kicking 21 for the year but tailing off in the second half of the season. He was out of favour for much of ((2020) ) but kicked 10 goals in six games, albeit seven combined in his first and last appearances of the year.
Moved back into defence in 2021, Hunt was one of the hard luck stories of Melbourne's run to the premiership. He played every game of the season before suffering an ankle injury in Round 23. Unable to make it back into the side for the Qualifying Final, he was forced to watch his side win the flag from the sidelines.
