Crossed from Geelong for 1984 after playing at the Cats with his twin brother Michael, but did not appear in a senior match in 1984.
Nigel returned to Geelong West in 1988, and was linked to Werribee for 1989 before moving to Warrnambool. He and his brother operated a hotel and he continued to play for South Warrnambool including premierships in 1990 and 1991. He coached the side in 2005 and 2006 before coaching Warrnambool in 2010.
