Former captain of the Vic Country representative side, who was drafted the option of playing back, middle or forward. She spent most her time in the middle, playing every game in the 2017 season.
Returned in 2018 to again play every game for the year. Despite speculation that she would join the new Geelong AFLW team for the 2019 season Mithen stayed with Melbourne and played every game.
After playing in every game for the first three seasons, an ankle injury kept Mithen out until Round 6. She kicked the winning goal in the 2020 Semi Final against Greater Western Sydney.
Mithen had her best season yet in 2021, playing eight games and scoring five votes in the league's best and fairest award as Melbourne made the Preliminary Final. At the end of the season she signed a two year contract extension, keeping her at the club until 2023. She played all but one game of 2022, registering her highest tally yet in the AFLW B&F. Later that year, in the spring season, Mithen again played every game, appearing in the club's premiership victory.
Played every game again in 2023, kicking a career high four goals, and was given a three year contract extension.
Distantly related to former Demon Laurie Mithen (her grandfather's cousin).
