Last game: Round 8, 1984 vs Fitzroy
Officially known as the St. Kilda Cricket Ground, and originally home to St. Kilda and later Fitzroy. South Melbourne were also based at the ground between 1944 and 1946 when the Lake Oval was being used for the war effort. It hosted the 1944 Grand Final while the MCG was also occupied.
In 1985 the MCC banned Melbourne from training on the MCG during the season, and with Fitzroy moving out of the Junction Oval rented it for the Demons to train at. The Under 19s began playing their home games at the ground. The situation lasted 25 years, but was always an issue in the pre-season as it was also used as a cricket venue. Eventually, the ground was abandoned in favour of modern training facilities at AAMI Park, and was later converted into a cricket only venue.
