Tasmanian wingman who joined VFA side Oakleigh in 1971. In 1972 he was unlucky to miss their premiership after injuring his hamstring in the final home and away match of the season. He remained there until 1974.
Forster later played for Wedderburn, before joining Prahran in 1976. He coached their seconds in 1977 through 1981 and served as an assistant coach to the seniors. In 1982 he was Prahran’s full-time administrator.
