Former eight time Darebin Falcons premiership player, and two time premiership coach (including once as captain/coach). Also coached with the VFL and VFLW academies, the Carlton AFLW side, and the Western Bulldogs exhibition game teams. Joined Melbourne as an AFLW Development Coach in 2018. Promoted to a Senior Assistant, Game Style and Education Coach in 2020, retaining the job through 2022.

In Round 8, 2021, Lange coached the senior side in the absence of Michael Stinear, leading the team to a win.
