Under 19s player who played in the 1987 international match against North Melbourne in Vancouver due to an injury crisis. The Under 19s were on the end of season trip along with the seniors.

Wore number 55 and number 60 in 1986, 50 in 1987, and switched to number 32 in 1988 but did not play a senior match despite being an emergency during the 1987 finals series and was cut before the 1989 season when league list rules meant he had to make way for a 19-year old on the senior list.

He then retired from football to concentrate on cricket, playing 14 Sheffield Shield games for Victoria between 1991/92 and 1993/94, and later serving as general manager of cricket for the ICC. Returned to footy at University Blues in 1996.
