Goalkickers:
Fanning 12, Adams 3, Hall 3, McLean 2, Williams 1, Barton 1
The Demons were better in all aspects of the game and gradually pulled away across the first three quarters. Fanning's aerial ability was causing the Tigers all sorts of problems and he had five in the board before half time.
During the third quarter light showers fell, making the ground slippery but it didn't stop the Demons opening a match winning lead. Fanning was up to nine goals by the last break and added three more in the final term.
Best were Fanning, Gray and Daly . Adams was replaced late in the game due to injury.
