Dobrigh would have debuted in the second last match of the season, but a permit didn't come through in time from the Gippsland league and he made his sole appearance in the last match of the season instead.

Despite impressing on his debut the wingman/flanker failed to play another senior match, and was cleared to Ballarat in 1921.

Dobrigh returned to the VFL to play two games for Richmond in 1923. He was also with Yallourn in 1922 and 1923, Morwell in 1923 and Warburton from 1924 to 1926.
