Brother of Denis, Don and Ted Cordner briefly joined the Demons in 1951 but became the only one of the brothers not to play in a premiership side.
He was described at the time as being of a "heavier build" than his brothers, with more pace and a more aggressive game. At the time of his invitation to join the Demons Cordner was opening the bowling for the University cricket club with brother Denis. He later went on to represent Victoria in cricket.
He later went on to pursue a career in nuclear science.
