Recruited midway through 1986 from VFA side Geelong West, Sizer debuted in the last round of 1986 and played a creditable game on David Rhys-Jones.
He remained on the senior list and switched to number 46 in 1987 but failed to play a senior match and was cleared to Richmond in late June. He didn't make it out of their Reserves side. In 1988 he worked as a caddy at Augusta National Golf Club in America.
