Crameri graduated to the seniors via the Thirds from 1954, and finally earned a promotion to the senior side after booting eight goals in the 1956 Seconds Grand Final.
His stint in the seniors was brief, and in 1957 he finished runner up in the Seconds Best and Fairest and equal second in the Gardiner Medal, despite only playing nine seconds games for the year.
In total he only played three goalless senior matches before joining VFA club Moorabbin in 1959. He played there until 1963 before becoming captain/coach of Northcote in 1964. He led the Brickfielders to third place finishes in 1956 and 1966 before leaving at the end of 1967.
